About Us

Market Street Animal Clinic provides the latest in veterinary care in a comfortable environment that feels like home. We strive to deliver the best veterinary care for animals at every stage of life.

History

Our clinic is a familiar landmark in Leesburg Virginia, having first opened its doors more than 30 years ago. Dr. Katie Kuchinsky took over the practice in 2009. Today we continue the tradition of combining quality veterinary hospital services with traditional values about pets, and the important role they play in our lives.

Our Philosophy

We believe that every course of treatment may not be right for every pet and every family. That’s why we try to offer options that make sense for the comfort and well-being of your pet and you.

We also believe that continuity of care is important to pet and pet-parents. Being a one-veterinarian practice, our staff can build a relationship with you and your pet over time. We know your pet’s medical and personal history as well as their personality. We want you to feel at ease each time you visit, knowing your pet will receive loving care and attention, and the best treatment possible.

CLINIC CATS

Jerry Kuchinsky

Jerry was adopted as a kitten by Dr. Silbiger in 2002. He originally lived at the Silbiger home but eventually moved to the clinic after the birth of their twins. When the practice changed hands in 2009, Jerry was adopted by Dr. Katie. Usually found lying on the front desk in the sunshine, Jerry’s favorite pastimes are sleeping, napping, and dreaming. Occasionally he will also accidentally operate the credit card machine.

Creed Kuchinsky

Jerry has opened his home to our newest addition, Creed, who can sometimes be found on the front desk.

Creed was adopted by Dr. Katie this past summer when an elderly woman was unable to care for the cat’s newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus. Creed has diabetic neuropathy and is unable to jump, but is making strides in her recovery as her diabetes is controlled. She has become a part of Market Street, but is up for adoption to a loving home where she can continue to recover (and hopefully jump again)!
